Volunteer!

Volunteering with the Athens Farmers Market provides an opportunity to connect with the Athens community while supporting our local food system.

Volunteers are invaluable on market days as they assist in tent set up, moving product from car to tent, setting up displays, and breaking down the site at the end of the day. We also need volunteers to count patrons entering the market, assist in merchandise sales, operate our popular token system, and set up audio equipment. On special events during the markets, volunteers could be doing anything from hiding easter eggs, building squash car racing ramps, or leading a costume parade around the market.

We also are grateful for volunteer support outside of the market times. This could involve hanging up posters around town, planning events, helping us curate a silent auction, or volunteering at the Autumn Harvest Feast!
