Come join the fun!

At the Athens Farmers Market, kids are at the heart of our community. For many families, the market has become a Saturday morning tradition, a place where parents can shop and connect while kids have space to explore, create, and play. Each week, we host a free, family-friendly activity at the Kids Booth designed to make the market experience welcoming and fun for all ages.

Our partner organizations bring an ever-changing lineup of hands-on activities, from nature fairy making and veggie stamping to paper marbling, plant exploration, sun catchers, and more. There’s always something new to discover, and plenty of opportunities for kids to get curious, a little messy, and fully engaged.

We want every family to feel like they belong here. Creating a space where children can build a connection to their community and to local food is something we care deeply about. It’s a joy to watch kids grow up at the market, forming memories that last far beyond a single Saturday.
