3 Porch Farm
3 Porch Farm is the manifestation of the dreams, ideals, and labor of Mandy and Steve O'Shea. We are solar powered, bio-fueled, and Certified Naturally Grown! I have converted our farm truck and car to run on "carbon neutral" plant based fuel, recycled from local restaurants instead of petroleum and we produce all of our farms electric with power from the sun. With these long-standing dreams accomplished, we are now focusing on making the most local, healthy, sustainable, and delicious popsicles possible made with only fresh fruit and honey...HoneyPops! We also have a focus on high quality Fruits, Flowers, Preserves, Honey and Veggies. Check us out at www.3porchfarm.com and in the back left corner of the Sat. market, Wednesday market, and Athens Locally Grown. -

Blackbriar Farms
We are John and Leslie Lawson from ‘Blackbriar Farms’. We raise pastured heritage breeds (beef, lamb, eggs & chicken) and are busy building a sustainable farm to provide healthy, fresh, great tasting meats & produce to the locavores in the Athens area. Blackbriar Farms is 'Certified Naturally Grown'. Our farm is 94 acres located off the beaten path in Crawford, Georgia and includes a Barn Store that is open on Friday afternoons where we sell meat and eggs as well as handmade items and antiques. Blackbriar is a 150 year old farm that has stood fallow for the past 45 years and is a wonderful work in progress. We offer a wide variety products from our farm for the local Saturday morning 'Athens Farmers Market', the Wednesday market at Little Kings, the 'Athens Locally Grown' internet co-op market on Thursdays as well as our own little farm store & CSA on Friday afternoons. Everything at Blackbriar Farms is sustainably raised, grown and made. We respect the environment and handle our animals humanely and with the respect they deserve, from birth to market. We have a herd of Heritage Irish Dexter cattle and a herd of Heritage Katahdin sheep. These wonderful animals produce our delicious grass-fed pastured beef and lamb. We also have fresh eggs from our large flock of free ranging Heritage Plymouth Rock & Australorp chickens. Why Heritage breeds? To conserve historic breeds and genetic diversity in livestock, ensuring the future of agriculture through genetic conservation of endangered breeds of livestock and poultry. Thanks for keeping it local and supporting your local farmers! -
Booger Hill Bee Company
The operation at Booger Hill Bee is a team effort. Heather Webster maintains the website, online store, designs labels, makes our magnificent candles and other wax products and pretty much is the creative personality of our group. Christian Hoadley does a bit of everything from building equipment to bottling honey and beekeeping. Rather than being a Jack of all trades, Christian is a master of many. Dan Harris is mainly a beekeeper. The majority of our hives are located near Athens with beeyards in Madison, Oglethorpe, Clarke and Oconee counties. We also maintain several yards in the Atlanta area to produce local honey for that market. Our goal is to maintain healthy, vigorous colonies of bees to produce the highest quality honey and beeswax. We keep our beeyards relatively small (less than 15 hives/yard) to avoid excessive foraging competition between our hives as well as with the local population of native pollinators. If you wonder about the name Booger Hill, please visit our website www.boogerhillbee.com and under the ‘about’ tab you can find the legend of Booger Hill. We are pleased to be part of the Athens Farmers Market family, helping to supply wholesome food to our community. -

Front Field Farm
Front Field Farm, located in Covington, GA was established in 2009. We are a small organic farm trying our hand at market vegetables and flowers. We love the learning and try to embrace the struggles. We are committed to growing organically and sustainably on our 1 ¼ acres. Our crops include varieties from all 11 vegetable families. Some of our particular favorites include Sungold cherry tomatoes, Soleil summer squash, Japanese sweet potatoes and Diva cucumbers. In addition, we are growing field flowers and culinary herbs. We are planning to expand our operation and growing season with the addition of greenhouses and hoop houses. We thoroughly enjoy being part of the Athens Farmer’s Market community of local growers and consumers. Owners/Growers - Jacqui Coburn and Alex Rilko -
Greendale Farm
Total Transparency - We encourage visitors to the farm, there are no locked doors and no secrets. Grass based - All animals are raised and finished on the pasture. This greatly improves the nutritional value compared to commercial produce. This grass based method in turn heals and restores the land. It’s perfectly symbiotic. No chemicals, growth hormones or antibiotics are used. Care and Respect – creating an environment suited to each animals needs. Animals living in their Natural environment - where a pig can be a pig and a cow can be a cow. -

On their 3 acre farm they produce a variety of spring, summer and fall vegetables. Tim and Alice welcome visitors and enjoy sharing the story of how they were led to farming in this modern day, compared to how they farmed in years past. They love for people to see the mill that Tim designed, which is very simple yet innovative. -
